MONICA: Just to complicate your life, let me tell you that being the OROPEZA last-name so uncommon there are several branches already here in the US of A, so as in México. In your case I know there is a small town called OROPEZA in Bolivia. (I can send you the map if you want).I have developed my family's tree (originally and the majority living in Mexico)in an Excel file that I can send you as soon as you ask for it. There are several OROPEZAS in Plano, TX
Obviously our families are related, according to a legend all the OROPEZAS come from a common ancestor originally from Portugal, where there is also a small to medium town called OROPESA, (with "S" instead of "Z"). Who knows. Anyway, our family is growing and there is a common streak to all Oropezas: WE ARE VERY RESILIENT AND NEVER GIVE UP.
Your posting has been there for almost three years, I hope I get a response from you.
JOSE OROPEZA MENDEZ
