William and Sarah Bolitho lived in the ancient parish of Wendron, Cornwallshire, England. The County of Cornwall, as it is often called, is the peninsula that extends from southwestern England out into the Atlantic Ocean. Wendron Parisyh has existed for well over 1400 years and is rich in history. William and Sarah wee born about the year 1750 and married about 1770, but not in Wendron Parish. Baptism dates are found for all of their children in the parish registers, but in England, birth dates are usually not recorded. The parish of Wendron was one of the largfest parishes in all of Cornwall, landwise. Witrhin the parish was the Chapelry of Helston. Sometimes the family attended church there as well as Wendron. Children: William Bolitho bapt 19 May 1771 died young James BOlitho bapt 19 Dec 1773 Margaret Bolitho bapt 2 Mar 1777 William Bolitho bapt 29 Sep 1780 Sarah Bolitho bapt 15 Mar 1784 Alice Bolitho bapt 29 Oct 1786 John Bolitho bapt 1 Nov 1789 Henry Bolitho bapt 15 Jul 1791 Henry married Elizabeth Moyses. All of their children were born in th Wendron Church. When in their late forties, the parents decided to emigrate and they moved to America in 1838.
