Edith Bolitho
Edith Bolitho, from Northamptonshire, England, an orphan, came to America in 1914 with some friends, Roes, on the SS Orduna. They landed at Ellis Island and then went on the Brockton, Mass.. All were engaged in the shoe manufacturing.
Edith married in 1920 to Forrest Standley Lingham (1895-1964) of Brockton. They lived in the general area during their married life. He worked for the Douglas Shoe Co..
They had children: Forrest, Robert, and Dorothy.
Edith died 2 June 1975 in Abington, Mass. a suburb of Brockton.
She did have a sister living in England. She died in the 1960's.
Edith's entry to the US is found on the Ellis Island site for 1914.
