I found the name of the father of Berry Boling.
He is a William Boling, or Bowling or Bolin, with wife Mary b 1810, who lived in Pickens Co, SC before the Civil War.
The marriage record for Berry B. Boling on 4 Apr 1861 to Mary E. C. Ferguson dau of James Ferguson and Mahala Norris or Morris, shows that the father of Berry is named William Boling.
He would have been born about 1780-1810. He might be the William Boling who died in March 1850, listed on the U. S. 1850 Death Census, died of Gravel? perhaps that was kidney stones?
Does anyone know of this family? Berry Served in Co. I. of the SC Pickens, Palmetto Sharpshooters as did several neighbors, and his bro-in-law William J. M. Ferguson.
Sibling for Berry were probably Winney A. Boling who married George W. Ellenberg in 1861.
Mattison or Madison Boling b 1848 Pickens SC.
Joseph Boling b 1850 Pickens, SC perhaps what is now Oconee Co, SC.
