He was the first white man who ever saw the Yo Semite falls and valley, which event of his life happened in 1850, during an Indian war, in which BOLING and his party drove the savages, who took refuge at Yo Semite. BOLING afterward became Sheriff of Mariposa, and was a man very generally known and respected. He died at the age of 42 and leaves a widow and children, who are now in Nevada Territory.
