In looking for the Bolin-Cagle connection, try Moore Co, NC as well as Montgomery Co, NC. According to Gary Reeder in the second Heritage of Montgomery Co NC, there was a Henry Cagle Sr. who married Caterina ?, and had children: Henry Jr., Peter who married Rachel Boling, Martin Sr. who md. Dicie Bolin, John who m. Sarah Latham, etc. According to Reeder, Dicie Bolin's parents were Benjamin Bolling and and ? Hancock. Henry Cagle Sr. (from Germany to PA to NC) lived c. 1730s to 1802 in Moore Co NC, then moved to the region where Moore adjoins Randolph and Montgomery Cos, NC. Yours is not the only Cagle-Boling marriage. There was a Martin Cagle Sr.(son of Henry Sr.) who married Lardicia (Dicey) Bolin. Hope this helps!
