I dont know if this is any help or not, but John Boling came from North Carolina with his son Jesse around 1840 to Washington co., In. Johns last name was spelled Bolling until he came to In. He then changed it to Bollen. When John died, his son Jesse changed the last name to Boling. Jesse was born in 1802 and married Sarah Hobbs. They had 7 children. Then Sarah died in the 1830s and Jesse married, Dorinda Anderson. They had 3 children. Jesse owned 1000 acres in washington co. In. in the 1850s. Jesse was my 4th Greatgrandfather.
