100 YEARS AGO:
Harvey L. BOLIN killed Charlie Walter WHITE near Lynchburg, TN, Aug. 1, 1900.
Harvey's name also appears as Harry, Henry, and Hardy, along with the usual spelling variants of BOLIN.
Harvey fled the scene, perhaps going to AL, and was "never heard from again." Rumors say he may have gone to TX or OK or ???
Possible he may have changed his name.
I have some newspaper info relating to the murder - apparently Harvey's father was living near Lynchburg at the time; and Harvey formerly lived near Huntsville, somewhere between Huntsville and the TN/AL state line.
He is on the 1900 Moore Co. TN census w/wife, Alma, and 2 sons, Chester Carl and Dewey Hobson.
Don't know who Harvey's parents are, or where he went/what happened to him after the murder.
Any help appreciated.
