Diggers,
Looking for any info on the Bolin(e)s of Union County,TN. She is my Great Grandmother and all I know is the following;
She spelled her name Boline, rather than Bolin. Callie was born on 5 August 1891 and married Walter Farris. Family bible list some of her ancestors, but no detail.
Katherine Ellis was her mother and her father has General (first name not title) Turpin Boline. My Grandmother has the tradition that Callie was part Indian. Callie was very much into the "old ways". Used various herbs and native plants for healing. My father remembers her telling the grandchildren many stories that I've researched as coming from Cherokee mythology (Spearfinger myth for example). She died in Knox County, TN on 24 Dec 1972.
Any info would be appreciated.
