Bolin and all of it's 8 or so different spellings are English. Robert Bolling,Esq., in the reign of Edward, 6th., owned the elegant Bolling Hall near Bradford in Yorkshire. Bolling coat-of-arms is engraved on the church of Bradford. Robert died in 1485. Bolling Hall passed on down and is now a museum. Famous names in this line include: Henry, the 8th., Sir Richard, the Tempest, Queen Victoria and Pocahantus!
