To Carol Wane & Marvelene. I am descended from both Benjamin Bolin (wife Mary Lee) and his brother Samuel Bolin (wife Mary Ann Hudnall). The Hudnall branch of the Bolin family has done extensive research and have your William Bolin (wife Catharine Wilson) as being born Scipio Township, Meigs County, OH son of Benjamin Bolin (b. 1821) & his wife Cassey Home (b. 1829). Benjamin & Cassey were married December 29, 1842 in Meigs County, OH. Benjamin Bolin is the son of Samuel Bolin (b. 1786 Fauquier County, VA; died November 30, 1860 Alexander Township, Athens County, OH) and his wife Mary Ann Hudnall (b.March 1790 Fauquier County, VA; died February 15, 1875 Alexander Township, Athens County, OH). Scipio Township of Meigs County & Alexander Township of Athens County border each other. My Bolins switched at my great grandfather's line to Bolen and settled in Knox Township of Vinton County (where Bolen's Mill is located and is still in existence). There are still Bolin & Hudnall family cemeteries (which markers readable & intact) still in existence in Athens & Vinton counties.
William & Catharine Wilson Bolin's son Albert James (born June 1882; died February 10, 1919 Peach Ridge, Athens County, OH) married his cousin Vadie Bolin about 1903. Vadie was born May 13, 1883 & died January 1, 1919 Peach Ridge, Athens County, OH. Vadie was the daughter of Samuel Bolin (born 1856 - son of Benjamin & Cassey Homer Bolin) and his wife Elizabeth Goble (born 1863). Samuel Bolin & Elizabeth Goble married April 5, 1879 in Meigs County, OH. Samuel & Elizabeth raised their grandchildren (Albert James & Vadie Bolin's children) after the parents died.
