I have a Willoughby Bolen who I feel may be a brother to your Robert Bolin. My Willoughby was born 1775-1785 in SC. In 1800 he is on the Montgomery Co., NC census, 1820 Lincoln Co., Tn. census along with Robert Bolin, 1830 Marion Co., Ala. census as the only Bolin at that time in Marion Co. 1840 he's on the Stoddard Co., Mo. census & 1850 he's on the mortality schedule for Moniteau Co., Mo. I think they may be connected with the Bolins in Lawrence Co., Ala. as well as Itawambie, Miss. There is a Willoughby Bolen on the Itawambie Co., census for 1850 living with his Mother. He eventually marries a daughter of Brantley Bolen of Lawrence Co., Ala. I believe he might be a grandson of my Willoughby Bolen, but have no idea who his father is. I don't know at this time who the children of my Willoughby Bolen are except for a Willoughby Bolen who is also in Mo. & an Ada Bolen. I'd also appreciate any comments on this family.
