Hi Penny,
I'm a descendant of Jackson Bales and Lucinda Bolin. Their daughter Maud was my great-grandmother. Maud married David Allen Hubbard. Lucinda went to Kansas to live with David and Maud after Jackson died in Indiana. In fact, I just put flowers on their graves a few days ago in Kansas!
Most of my Bales and Bolin information was researched by my aunts, and I am just the lucky recipient of their hard work.
I have Hawkins and Pherbie having 5 children -Letha, Elizabeth, James H., Samira, and America Jane. In 1860, Pherbie (Fariba) is married to Benoni Denny. Hawkins died about 1852. My aunt had 2 more children for them, but America was 1 yr old in 1850, and in 1860 America was the youngest Bales in the household. There were several Denny children. Don't know if any of the Denny children were Pherbie's as I don't have a marriage date for them.
