According to the 1870 & 1880 Waterbury, CT census lists in the Natl Archives (Wash DC):

Thomas Bolger was born Oct. 1828, had 5 sons, 4 daughters. Occupations: "porter" and "shop laborer". In 1880 all his kids > 12 yo were listed as "laborers". His wife, Margaret Begley Bolger, was a "homemaker" and a "washer", born in Ireland in July 1833. In the 1900 Waterbury census she was listed as a widow with 2 sons still at home and it appeared that 2 of her 9 kids had already died.

The oldest was Thomas, born in Oct.1856 & the youngest, my grandfather, George Bolger, was born on Nov. 19, 1877. I'm sorry that I can't give you the names of the 4 daughters, but was unable to xerox the microfiche list and only took notes on a few individuals. If you are in the DC area, do check the 1870 Census Reel 112, Waterbury and 1880 Reel 103, Vol. 9, ED 37, p. 8, Line 40.
