Did either of the two federal census show
him as a Naturlized citizen. If so try to
find his Naturalization Papers on microfilm
with the National Archives and get yourself
a copy. If he filled out the information
correctly it will give you town, county, and
date he left Ireland as well as the date and
port of arrival in the United States.
