Sharon: My Catharina came from Homberg [large nest of]Hesse GER.
Apparently she came as a single girl to PA - unusual for a GER family. So, have been trying to find any relative she could have traveled with; or what established BOLENDER family residence she settled in. She mar-formerly BINGMAN/BUENGEMANN-(2)Christian Wilhelm ERMERT b 29 Mar 1829 Daaden Altenkirchen Hesse GER, in apparently Schuylkill CO PA, where my GdMom Eliza was born; he died 23 Sep 1858, right after Eliza was born - have wondered if his was a mine accident, but don't know if a miner.
