Looking for information on the family of James H (Henry) Bolen (Bolan, Bollan) who married Ann McCarty (McCarthy) in Michigan or New York abt 1873. James was born in either Canada or Michigan (depending on which record you choose to believe) Ann was born in New York. They had children:
James H Bolen b. March 1888 in Michigan d. May 1966 (probably Glendale) California married Mae Cedersten (sp?) and had John (Jack)d. 1962 Los Angeles Co., CA), and Elizabeth (Betty) who married Mr. Miles and d. 1981 Orange Co., CA (probably Costa Mesa) Both John (Jack) and Elizabeth (Betty) lived in the Los Angeles, Glendale areas of California)
Gertrude May Bolen b. 1883 in New York
Grace Anna Bolen b. 1886 in New York
Harold Bolen b.1891 Michigan
This family moved to MI from NY abt 1886, and was found in Claire, Grand Rapids, Weldon, Bay City and Boyne City Michigan. They may also have spent some time in Ohio.
