The Bolens in Pontotoc County,MS
and nearby counties had some
connection to the name Rea or
Ray because this name shows up
in court documents. Did any of
the Ryes spell their name Rea?
These Bolens also moved from
Tenn to Lawrence Co. AL to MS.
I believe the father of Brantly
Bolen was Robert Bolen b. 1787 of AL.
Any connection with your William
Bowling??
