Yes Sandra, it is a very nice site from Jerry Lovejoy, descendant of Louis Bolduc, as all of us.
But please, write Louis Bolduc, like all Bolduc in America, except any transformations in USA. (Bolduce, Baldic, Balduc, Burgess, Bolger, Baldwin...)
His birth surname in Paris was Bouduc, like his father Pierre Boulduc. It comes from Bois-le-Duc (Duke's wood), town of Holland, where the duke of Brabant (french) liked to go hunting...
Jacques Cnoyen from Bois-le-Duc, was cartograph (he did maps) as Mercator about year 1350. Coming back in France from Bois-le-Duc, he was called Bois-le-Duc.
