Hi Pierre,
I haven't been able to find where or which way these families went after 1860. But if you look at Clinton County, NY msg 2298, Edward Coulombe was Josephs godparent and Joseph Delor Lamoureux who married my grandmother's sister Clara, Delor's brother Ephrem married Mary Louise DeFayette. The connection I'm trying to make here is Clara and Delor are 2nd cousins. There is a dispensation somewhere.
There is more to our story. Still under Clinton County NY msg 1802, this appears to be the Daudelin side. Alot of it doesn't make sense to me. Noticing that my grandmother was named Eulalia. Her aunt or cousin actually named her and her mother Media hated it. But Media was sick when grandma was born so she didn't have a choice.
We also have a few unaccounted for Claras. Clara Daudelin which the sisters spoke of often was a Laliberte or vice versa.(I think she was actually Clara Daudelin and married somebody Laliberte. She lived in Salem, NY.And she was slightly older than my grandmother. When grandma needed a birth cert from Albany, they found out the church had burned. Clara gave all the info for the reconstructed birth cert which accounts for the wrong birth year. She apparently was the oldest of the remaining family.
Unfortunately, I am looking for a direction to where they might have gone. Interesting though that some of the Daudelins were born in St. Hyacinthe and so was Godfrey Picard. But after searching the records, there was nothing found either. The anglicized names have me stumped.
Thank you for any assistance or info you might have. Anything is helpful. I'm hoping eventually to find as many pictures as possible.
