I would like to know more about your John Bolduc and his wife Julia Dion as I have been working on this family for quite awhile. I descend from Majorique (Majoric) Bolduc and Marie Delima Georgia (Georgiana) Dupont, through their daughter, Mary Georgiana Bolduc. She married my grandfather, Arthur Lee Cochran, in Bemidji, MN in 1904.
I found John and Julia on the 1880 census of Pembina Co., Dakota Territory. In 1900, they were in Marshall County, MN and in Beltrami County by 1910. I have found draft registrations (WWI) for the sons and their death records (online), but have no idea who the daughters married. Do you have any of that information?
If Marcel and Margaret Young were also known as Marcel and Marguerite Dion, then I think it is possible that Marguerite could have been your John's aunt. Do you have any idea where they were living at any time?
We find Marcel and Marguerite Lyon (she was Marguerite Bolduc) getting married in Hennepin County, MN in 1859 (Jan. 4). We are trying to get a copy of the parish register but are having some difficulty doing that. They were married at Osseo. In the 1870s, Marcel and Marguerite had two children baptised at Assumption in Pembina County, Dakota Territory. We have obtained copies of those. The children were Georgine and Lucie (1873 and 1875, respectively). We can't find them on any census record. We can't find any candidates in Pembina for Julia's parents in 1880. No census for Dakota Territory in 1875, which is a shame.
Any clues would be appreciated.
Thanks.
