I was looking into my family tree to find information on my great-great-grandfather Fritz Dahms. He came from Schleswig-Holstein Germany. He had a son with Katherine Peters Dahms also of that part of Germany named Harry (b.1885, d.1968) Harry Dahms married Emma Boldt (b. 1893, d. 1976) and had the following children: Loretta, Rosetta, Arlo (d.2001), Richard "Dick", Maryls (d.1992) and my grandfather Robert E. Dahms, Sr. (d.1983 - buried in Buckingham Cemetery in Traer). I did a search and found a family tree showing that Fritz was the son born out-of-wedlock of Catherine Dahms (b?d?) of Scheslwig-Holstein Germany. I have no record of this. I have no record of a Fritz Dahms. I heard he was buried in Gladbrook and found a Fred Dahms (b.8/10/1849, d.12/10/1888) in the Iowa Cemetery Records. There wasn't a Katherine Dahms listed. I found a Maggie Dahms buried in Gladbrook with the same birth and death date as the family tree listed "Katherine" (12/23/1855; 4/9/1922). If you know anything about Harry, Fritz, and Fritz's parents etc., I'd be so happy. I don't have any documents or pictures. I really need some direction for the search. Thanks.
