All bits of information helps in identifying individuals!. Certainly it isn't the Wesley 1898 - instead it must be William Wesley Bolding and his service in the Civil War! His first wife is Mary Lousia Glenn! Could your A have been a misprint? It certainly is in the right area to be William Wesley Bolding!
