Hi Debra, I had a researcher do a look up for me for the 1830 census of McMinn, TN: 1830 McMinn County, TN Census Page 137 William Bolling - males: 00001; females: 00001 Page138 Elisha Bolling - males: 01111; females: 110001001 David Bolling - males: 00010001; females: 000001011 (Note: These two households were enumerated one right after the other in the order shown.) Page 188 James Bolling - males: 2011001; females: 111101 Joseph Bolling - males: 0011101; females: 2210001 (Note: 5 other households were counted between these two households.) Page 189 Obediah Bolling - males: 100000001; females: 010001001 William Bolling - males: 200001; females: 200001 (Note: These two households were enumerated one right after the other in the order shown.) Page 194 John Bolling - males: 210001; females: 01001 Page 195 Collings Bolling - males: 01113001; females: 00010001 Looking at the page numbers and the Bolling listings, it looks like there could be three different families, belonging to David, Obediah and Collins. By 1840 all three of the older men are gone and I know Collins is in Polk Co, TN is 1840 and Franklin Co, AL in 1850. Not sure where Obediah or David ended up in those censuses. I did however look into the census records for Greenville, SC and found that Obediah is listed for 1800: Obediah Bowlin 20010/20010 (1800) #779 O. Bolling 02010/21010,0,0 (1810) p.115 Collins is listed with Obediah in 1810, but no David: Collins Boling 40010/00001,0,0 (1810) p.114 There are other Bollings listed as well but am not sure how they fit in the picture. In 1790 there are some Bollings but Obediah, David or Collins is not listed. I have heard that perhaps they came from Laurens Co, SC and will do some checking there. I am currently awaiting more info from another reasearcher in those counties so hopefully will be able to share more tidbits later. Thanks for getting back to me! Stacey
