Bolding/Fischer/Morse: NC>MS>TX

I'll make this more general than I first intended. My great-great grandfather was James P. Bolding. We don't really know what the P. stands for. Some have said Platt and others have said Peace. But I don't know whether they really know.

He was from North Carolina, we believe, but his wife may have been from Virginia. He was a doctor and he inerited a small plantation in Mississippi near Tupelo. After the war, he brought the family to Waco, Texas. My great-grandmother was Susan Amelia Bolding. Her second husband was George Williamson Morse.

She traced the Bolding tree one time back into the Fischer line of the Carolinas. Unfortunately, someone threw out the info. Any clues out there?

Kathryn
