My father was born in Arkansas and grew up in Oak Grove Louisiana. His name is Enoch Bolding. He has researched the Bolding family tree and probably has more information than anyone about Boldings in this country. Your line probably goes back to Thomas and Mary Bolding who settled near Jamestown in 1610. Thomas and Mary had three children, William (died), John and Thomas.
My dad says John's father was probably Enoch Benson Bolding, who I believe had two sons, John and Benson Howard.
I think my dad would have information on your line of Boldings. He has boxes full of Bolding history stored at our ranch in Arkansas which I'm sure includes information about many of your ancestors. If you are interested, please let me know. We will be at the Ranch in April and can bring back the information.
