There were some Bolands that came over about 1848 from Ireland.
1) Mary Boland who married David Heaton and lived in Pittsfield, Berkshire MA. 1831-<1900. David worked in a woolen mill. kids..(Jos., John, David, and Annie Leonard.)
2)Patrick Boland who married Mary ? and moved to Fairfax, Linn Co., Iowa. b. 1831-<1900 lots of kids. (Peter, Tom, Nellie, Frank, Joe, Michael, Annie)
3) Bridget Boland married to Dennis Manning lived in Peru, LaSalle Co., IL. 1836-1909 obit says she was from Kings Co., Ire. and came over at age 12 (c. 1848) Kids..Mary, Nellie, Annie, and John.
4) Michael Boland married Mary. Lived in LaSalle Co. IL early but moved to Ivesdale, Champaign Co., IL in 1877 and died there in 1888. Many children. ..Margaret, John, Elizabeth Phalen, Peter, James, Mary, William, Nellie, Emma, Millicent, Walter
Michael may have lived in Fairfax Ia. briefly as he has a photo taken in Cedar Rapids as does Patrick.
I believe these were all siblings and I have photos of the 4 of them.
Hope to locate some additional obits or bios or family lore that connects them. I know they are related and am trying to prove my assumption that they are siblings and confirm where they came from in Ireland.
