I'm looking for information on my great-grandfather, Michael Boland, who came from Ireland to Riverhead, St. Mary's Bay, Newfoundland, in the 1830's or 1840's, and married Anne Lee. I know the names of his children, but nothing else on him.
As far as I can determine, he had at least three brothers, one of whom went to Calvert, another to the Burin Peninsula (St. Lawrence), and the other to Holyrood.
I can't find a record of Michael's birth or even his death. I've already searched parish record.
I'd really appreciate any information or a direction in which I can continue my search.
