Jacques Boissel came to Canada from Chartres, Perche (Orne), France. He married Marie Eripel (or Heripert)in Chartres around 1639. He was a "maitre boucher" (butcher) and a "macon" (mason). He was confirmed Feb 24, 1660 at Notre Dame de Quebec. Jacques died sometime between Nov 27, 1686 and Nov 1, 1697.
