I am descended from James Thomas Boiseau, born in Va about 1820. He married a Deborah Mead from Md and his descendants (myself included) were born in DC and surrounding area. I know that I am descended from one of two brothers who came here from France, one settling in VA, the other in S.C., I think. I believe our name had two ss's at one time, but not sure. I'm trying to determine if Boiseau and Boisseau are two different families or one. In my search I listed Boiseau and found quite a bit of info. You were the only Boisseau to show up, but I do think we're related. Would appreciate any help you can give.
