Captain Joseph & Josephine Boisseau were my GG-Grandparents both lived in Shreveport, LA. Capt. Josephs father was Joseph Boisseau of Virginia who moved to Maeshall, Texas in 1840's. Josepine was not only Captain Josephs wife but also his 3rd cousin therefore having the maiden name of Boisseau. Josephine was the daughter of Dr. James Poythress Boisseau of VA. a graduate of Pennsylvania University in 1839, her mother was Ann Elizabeth Scott daughter of Dr. William Baker Scott and Elizabeth Torborne. Captain Joseph and Josephine were the parents of Elizabeth Scott Boisseau who married Dr. Robert Lee Grant of Kentucky, they made their home in Texarkana, AR. and had an only son Robert Lee Grant, my grandfather. This Boisseau family is of the Reverend James Boisseau era early 1700's. (see Beth Bond Boisseau page).
