Is anyone here descended from any of the Holmes Boisseaus of Prince George and Petersburg? I am descended from Holmes d PG CO. VA, c 1842, leaving a daughter, Mary, wife of Alexander Harrison; and two sons, James Boisseau of Petersburg, who married Elizabeth Tench, and William H. Boisseau who never married. James and William both died in 1869. James had a son Holmes, who died in Petersburg in 1903. This Holmes also had a son Holmes and four other children. They were my grandfather's second cousins.
Holmes d 1842 was the great grandson of the Rev. James Boisseau and his wife Sarah Holmes and the son of Holmes Boisseau and Mary Ann Glover of PG Co.. He had a sister Elizabeth who never married, a half sister Martha Boisseau Johnson, and a brother Joseph, all of PG. Co. His uncle James Boisseau died in Sussex Co, Va. about 1809; James married his first cousin Mary Jones, daughter of David Jones of Sussex and wife Susannah Boisseau, daughter of the Rev. James Boisseau and Sarah Holmes.
I am looking for the wife of Holmes d 1842 and the wife of his grandfather, Holmes, bc 1707 or before, who was a son of the Rev. James Boisseau and wife Sarah.
