Thank you. I had received this same information from the Ogdensburg library. There is a John Boice in Westchester Co. NY in the late 1700s. I have some info on Butlers Rangers in Ontarion Canada but can't verify. Boice seems to be of french origin (Bois=woods). I think they may have been french Hugonauts who fled to Holland, thence to England and then to NY State or Canada. Would like to know where their point of entry was?
