Dear Becki, Thanks for responding to my message and the census info. I’ve checked your other message postings in an attempt to identify your Bohrer line. I have not found a John M. married to a Rebecca in my database; however, I do have several family trees which I have not entered on my computer.

My James L. was a son of Michael Bohrer (1789-1865). Michael, his wife Johanna and their family moved to Fairfield County about 1837-38 from the Hagerstown MD/Franklin County PA area. Michael’s family consisted of eight children: a daughter Sarah and seven sons, William, Benjamin, Daniel, John, Joshua, Samuel and James L. (all born between 1811 and 1826). All remained in Ohio except John (spouse Susan Arnold) and Samuel (spouse, Jane) who moved on to Illinois. Benjamin, Daniel & James L. remained in Fairfield County; William & Joshua moved to Clark County. Hope this helps you to separate Michael’s family from other Bohrer lines.

In my early searching, I gathered a lot of information related to other Ohio Bohrer families. If I can help you in any way or if you have any additional information on your line, I will be happy to check my notes to see if I can help you connect.
