Janie, My grand father is Edward Bohn. He is one those sons. Jacobs Father and my Great Great Grandfather is John Michael Bohn. John Michael settled in Red Bluff in the 1860's and had a black smith's shop on Red Bank road. He followed his brother and came to the USA from germany several years before by shoveling coal on a steamer, and had a machine shop with his brother on the east coast. He sold his half of the business to his brother and came west. My Great Grand father Jacob and his wife Harriet lived in Red Bluff. Their three sons all moved to the sonoma county area to marry and many of the Bohn/Gregson family still live there today. I have a Wilson kinship family tree which has more info on Jacob and Harriet and can find out more when I get it out of storage...
