There has been some speculation that Peter Diehl BOHN b.1 Jan 1677 and died 1740 on the way to America was the father of Johann Diehl BOHN b.1711. This Johann Diehl BOHN settled in Frederick Co, MD.
I have found positive proof that he is NOT the father of Johann Diehl BOHN b.1711. Johann Friedrich Tillmann BOHN was born on 17 Sep 1708 in Obermoschel. Tillman and Diehl are variations of the same name. It was thought that he might be Johann Diehl BOHN b.1711. HOWEVER....there is a death record for him.
Johann Friedrich Tillmann BOHN died 5 May 1715 in Obermoschel. I found the church record this evening.
