Richard, I too am a descendant of Johann Diel Bohne via his son Jacob, his son Abraham, his son Samuel and my grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Boone Culp and my father William Luther Culp.
I have exchanged some information with a few other Bohns and utilized the book by Nellie Woods Whedon, 1945; also joined DAR through Jacob Bohne. My family correspondents would like to find information re Johann's return to Germany, apparently never heard from again. Abraham and Jacob went to Franklin Co., VA, founded a mill at Boone Mill and after several years Abraham moved his family to Montgomery Co., OH.
Do you have any ideas/theories? I would be happy to exchange information.
