To confuse matters even more, Ruth Bohn had a brother named Charles Bohn, somewhat younger than Ruth. He was a veteran of the War of 1812 and he probably went to OH with Ruth. Ruth Bohn married James Spurgeon and they were in Perry County, OH near Roseville. There is a chance that Charles Bohn Sr. is/was the Charles Bohn in the MD census and Charles Bohn Jr. is/was the Charles Bohn in hte OH census. Or maybe not. Some of the records for Ruth Bohn reflect her with a name of Ruth Bond--her marriage record, if I rememer correctly is one of them. Charles Bohn, Jr. died in Van Buren County, IA sometime after 1870 and is buried in Steinmeyer Cemetery near Farmington. He may have been awarded federal land in OH as a result of his service in the War of 1812. Confused yet? Well, the Bohns certainly confuses me.
