In the History of Clinton Co., Iowa 1879 appears a short bio of J.C. McConnell. His wife was Catherine Bohart, born 4/12/1840 in Hardin Co., Ohio to Jacob and Susan Bohart. It appears the Bohart family moved to Clinton CO., Iowa also. There are several other Boharts in the county as of 1879 but I don't know if they are connected.

When, in 1861, Adam Kelly located on the knoll where Joseph Bair now lives, there was only one house, the small Bohart place, between there and Camanche.

In connection with the United Presbytrian Church: On the 26th of December 1853, Rev. Alexander Pattison organized an Associated Reformed Presbytrian Church at the house of Jacob Bohart - to be called The Congregation of Pleasant Prairie. Persons present at the organization were: W.W. Beatty, Adam Kelly, Peter and Jacob Bohart.

On the 16th of March 1856, at a meeting held at the house of Jacob Bohart it was decided to build a house of worship.

Not my family line - just offering info.
