In 1768 a man named James Bohannan was sent from London to Virginia or Maryland on the convict ship Justitia. Here's a link to the trial: http://www.oldbaileyonline.org/browse.jsp?id=t17680518-24-defend263&div=t17680518-24#highlight. He may be related to my ancestor, James Behanna, who ended up in Washington County, Pa. Early spellings associated with James were, Bohannah, Bohhanan, Bohany and Buchanon. After the death of James in 1826, the family name was changed to Behanna. Please contact me with ANY leads.
