Jane, I don't have anything on your specific Bohannon's, but I do have a reproduction of a picture of school children, Dry Valley School, 1914 with a boy named Cecil Bartlet Bohannon. Has to be some relation and if you don't have this another stepping stone to your people.

Were your Bohannon's decended from John, 1820,settled in Dry Valley, father of Pleasant? Or William entered land on Falling Water and then in White County. Ws a revolutionaly soldier. And filed claim as such.
