my gr-gr-grandmother was a bowen. please help. has anybody ever seen these names?

- Lena Macie Bowen b 1869/1870/1871 in TN...married Charlie Eugene Long in 1891 in Hill County TX...had 2 children Andrew Jackson Long & Bertha Alma Long...separated from Charlie & later married Edward Vanmeter & lived in Iowa...died in Dallas Texas 1947. Lena said she was raised by "Uncle Bob" Ingram in TX.
- Lee Ora Bowen (Lena's sister) b 1877 in TX...married David E Western in 1893 in Hill County TX...had 4 children Pleasant, Elmer, T.E. & George...lived in Purcell Oklahoma until her death in 1948. Lee said she was raised by a family named Felps / Phelps in TX

Both girls always said their parents were from Tennessee.

It's such a mystery. Who were their parents? Did they have any other brothers & sisters? What happened to their parents & brothers & sisters? the above information is all we know. we can follow them from the time of their marriages until their death but can't find anything on them or their family prior to their 1891/1893 marriages. If any of these names sound familiar or if there's any way you can help me, please let me know. reply to Melanie @ (nomad email no longer valid-please use
