Hi Tara, Thank you for the e-mail.I'm sorry to say there was no Frank or Frances ever mentioned in our family.
My grandfather was Michael who came to this country 100 years ago.I believe his father's name was Basil.
That got translated to William when Americanized.I do recall hearing when I was a boy that there were some family in Canada, but I'm not sure where.
Before my dad passed on he told me to research our named spelled as Bogucki (I've since learned pronounced as Boo-good-ski).That is probably where the spelling Bogutski came from.I have also since learned it is a pretty common name in the Polish/Ukraine region.
From my grandfather's Ellis Island records, I learned that he stated his place of residence was Csystopasty, Galicia.
Not sure if this will help you, but there may be a connection.The other points of reference mentioned by my dad with repect to location of family in Europe include Tarnople and Lwow in addition to Galicia.
