Richard E. Bogue of east Texas

Hi there!

I am trying to locate male descendents of Richard E. Bogue (b. 1845), son of William Alfred Bogue and (unknown first name) Delaney of Perquimans, NC. Richard E. was a Civil War veteran who moved to Texas after the war. I'd like to ascertain if someone from this line has had (or is willing to have) Y-DNA testing done for comparison to my own. I descend from Richard's half-brother, William. I have learned recently that my Y-DNA haplotype is very different from other Bogue male family members who trace their roots to earlier Bogues, supposedly of this same line. I suspect an adoption or perhaps a child fathered outside the Bogue family and would like to determine when this may have happened.

Thanks.

Bill Bogue
