I am from Louisiana. My mother is Shirley Bogues Kirkham. Her parents were J.D. Bogues and R.V. Lois Bogues. They had five sons, Ralph, Grady, J.D. Bogues, Jr. , Eddie, and R.D. Bogues. My mother was their only daughter.
My Granddaddy had Brothers & Sisters. I think there was a lot of them. I will give you the names that I know. John Bogues, Sam Bogues, William R. Bogues, Savannah Bogues Culbertson, Bertie B. Vaughn. Some of them lived in Minden, LA. When my mother was little her family lived in Hall Summitt Louisiana. Her family lived in Lamesa Texas for a while. That is about all of them that I know. My mother said she thinks her granddaddy's name was Will Bogues but is not sure.
Please e-mail me with any info you have on the Bogues family. My mother seems to believe that the spelling of the last name was changed. Possibly could have been Bogus.
