I realized when reading through this posting that there is an error in regard to the statement James Bogle married Mary HALL. It is meant to say Sarah HALL. Please note that when you review the Bogle/Hall information.
After additional research on the Bogle/Hall connection I compiled the following additional information:
FRANKLIN CO, PA was formed in 1784 from Cumberland Co.
Cumberland County was formed in 1750 from Lancaster County

*Egle’s Notes and Queries of Pennsylvania, 1700s-1800s. First and Second Series Volume I, Notes and Queries-XLI, p. 283. Summarized-James Hall, son of Hugh Hall, n. in Ireland, 1705; m. in 1730 Prudence Roddy, his cousin, dau of James Roddy, b. 1710 in Ireland. Imigrated to PA early in life with perents. Located in what was Derry, now Londonderry twp, Dauphin Co. They were in full communion with the Church of Conewago and in 1751 removed with their family to IREDELL CO. NC settling on Fifth Creek near Bethany Church. There they died and are buried. Among their desc were 24 or 25 ministers of the Gospel, and more than that number of the females were preachers.

(NOTE: XVI, p.98 of Volume I notes William HALL said to be a cousin of James HALL settled about the same time as James on the same creek a little higher up in what was Rowan then Iredell when it was taken from it in 1788)
Check will books for HALL family wills left in Rowan and Iredell Co. NC. Earliest listed is John Hall 1766 Rowan and Elizabeth Hall 1795.

Joseph & James Bogle are found on the Newton Township tax lists 1778-1785.
The following deeds prove Joseph & James Bogle of Newton township, Cumberland Co., removed to Montgomery township, Franklin county. James sometime between 1782-1785 and James much later.
