Hi, Im new to researching the boggs line and am interested in learning more about which particular line I am from. I dont have a whole lot of information to work with and I have set up an account on I have traced back as far as I can but am not sure the information I have is entirely correct. I have searched the census records and have found no record of my father, or his father, but I do know that my fathers dads name was earnest boggs. My fathers name is Thomas M. Boggs (born 1958), and his fathers name is also Thomas M. Boggs (Im guessing he was born in 1926 because thats the only record I can find of a Thomas M. Boggs) The only record I have found that matches up on these facts is a record of a Earnest Raymond Boggs--Who had a son named Thomas M. Boggs born around 1926. I am unsure of whether Earnest R. Boggs' dads name is William A. Boggs or William H. Boggs. I have looked at the census records and it seems to me that they have mistaken the H for an A in the middle initial and they are one and the same person. From the information I have I am assuming that my great-great grandfather Earnest Boggs was the son of William A. Boggs, who was the son of John M. Boggs, who was the son of Reuben Boggs, who was the son of Alexander Boggs, who was the son of Ezekiel Boggs, who was the son of Francis Boggs, Who was the son of James Boggs (Born in londonderry Ireland). Some of my info came from other family trees that had no source for the information provided. Alot of my information is just a guess based on location and dates. I would welcome anyone to take a look at my family tree on and maybe tell me what they think or shine some light on the situation. It seems alot of you also have unanswered questions as well and I am trying to piece together as much as I can so I can pass it down to my son. Any help would be appreciated in maybe confirming any of the information I have.
