Robert BOGG was supposedly born in Lincolnshire about 1764 & later married Mary (maiden name unknown). The couple had 6 children (Robert, Charles, Charlotte, Thomas, Elizabeth & Eliza) born in England prior to Robert's appearance before the Old Bailey Court in London.

Robert was found guilty of forgery & received a 14 year sentence of transportation to Australia. He travelled in 1814 on the ship "General Hewitt".

Soon after his landing in Sydney, his wife & family had permission to join him & he worked as a bootmaker to support them.

Robert's wife Mary died in 1819 & Robert in 1829.
