My mother is the last of her line of Bogerts, but I am extremely interested in creating a comprehensive family tree for myself and my future children. I know my Bogert well, but I would appreciate more information if anyone has it. My grandfather was Edward Vincent Bogert (known as Vinncent or Vinnie) and was a well known radio and later television writer for such shows as "The Gary Moore Show," and "The Carol Burnett Show." He created the radio show "Duffy's Tavern" which coined the phrase (forgive me if I get it wrong): "Where the elite meet to greet." His father was Edward "Ned" Bogert who was raised in an orphanage with his sister after their parents were killed in a train wreck. He later married Florence Demers. Beyond that the direct line is: James Oscar Bogert (b.1858); Jacob Bogert (2-10-1826); Henry Bogert (b. approx. 1786). If anyone can go back further than this, I would really like to know. ::smile:: Thanks. Also, if you happen to suspect there are any connections between my Bogert relatives and yours, feel free to e-mail. Take care and good luck!
