Peter:

There were a number of Boger-Bost marriages of which I am aware, though these took place between Boger women and Bost men. Catherine Boger (b. 1790), daughter of the Daniel and Elisabeth Boger who came to the Mecklenburg-Cabarrus area in the 1770s or thereabouts from Berks County, PA), married John H. Bost, who ran Bost's Mill. Catherine's older brother, Daniel Boger (Jr.), who also married an Elisabeth, had a son named Allen, b. 1818, who married Hessie White. Allen and Hessie had an Allen, Jr., b. 1860. Could these be the folks you're looking for? (Perhaps Daniel named his son in honor of his brother-in-law, or in recognition of some other tie between the families. Another of Daniel Boger Jr.'s sons was given the name William Bost Boger.)

My husband is g-g-grandson of another child of Daniel Boger Sr. (i.e., a brother of Daniel Boger, Jr. and Catherine Boger Bost), Martin (b. 1794) who married Mary Ann Carriker.
